About us

NASKRIZ is an NGO that empowers military wives to build their own resilience. We support women in:
building their personal resilience
preparing for pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting
raising visibility in society
connecting through the Ya.Ye. community of military wives
accessing doula support before and during childbirth, and postpartum support
strengthening relationships with themselves, their partner, and their child

Our Mission

To increase the visibility and resilience of military wives in order to strengthen our country’s resilience.

Our Values

Visibility — recognizing the social role of military wives in order to drive systemic change.

Impact — making a behind-the-scenes impact on our country’s resilience.

Resilience — finding, sustaining, and strengthening inner strength in times of uncertainty.

Unity — combining efforts to create change.

Community — seeing one another, coming together, and showing empathy and mutual support.

Our Vision

Ukraine is where military wives are a recognized and influential group in society and an integral part of national security and our country’s development.

Ukrainian society understands that a family’s resilience equals our state’s resilience, and — through respect and gratitude — shifts its social norms toward those that support military families.

Our story

Support for military wives began with the Ya.Ye. project, launched by the Riy Charity Foundation in late 2022 in response to the urgent need to support Ukrainian women during russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The project started by building a community of military wives in February 2023, launching the Warm Circles psycho-emotional support program, and offering courses for pregnant women. Soon after, we introduced one-on-one consultations with specialists and individual support services.

In 2024, we developed a program focused on strengthening relationships in military families.

2025 became a turning point: Ya.Ye. was scaled up into an independent NGO NASKRIZ , retaining the whole project team. Riy built a strong operation and team — and then supported the project’s transition into a separate organization.

Our name, “NASKRIZ” (literally meaning “through”), stands for the connection that runs THROUGH every military wife’s experience: a woman moves THROUGH every challenge with her own strength — and we are there to walk alongside her THROUGH it all: to see, to feel, to acknowledge, and to keep strengthening the resilience, visibility, and dignity of the wives of Ukraine’s defenders.
